🏍️ The Expedition

22,000 km, 7 countries, 4 months, 1 rider, 1 Africa Twin. A solo journey from the mountains of northern Thailand, through China (Sichuan, Gansu, Xinjiang) to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan over the Pamir Highway and across Uzbekistan to the western silk road oasis town of Khiva — and back home via Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tibet, Yunnan and Laos.

Chiang Mai → Boten → Yunnan → Chengdu → Xinjiang → Almaty → Bishkek → Osh → Pamir → Dushanbe → Samarkand → Bukhara → Khiva 🔄 → Almaty → Kashgar → Lhasa → Yunnan → Chiang Mai

🔄 Khiva — westernmost point, ~60°E. Turnaround of the great loop.
