The expedition begins — solo. My original co-rider could not join, so this became a one-man journey. Rolling out of Chiang Mai alone on the Africa Twin, with 4 months of open road ahead — not all the way to Munich as originally planned, but a big loop west to Khiva in Uzbekistan and back home through China and Tibet. A different route, an even bigger adventure.
332 km of riding across varied terrain — from the lowlands of Chiang Mai to the rolling hills of Nan Province. Five stops along the way, including a break at Mae Na Ruea and a longer rest at Mae Sai. The Africa Twin performed flawlessly.
Die Expedition beginnt — solo. Mein ursprünglicher Mitfahrer konnte leider nicht dabei sein, deshalb fahre ich diese Reise alleine. Aus Chiang Mai rollte ich auf der Africa Twin heraus — nicht wie ursprünglich geplant bis nach München, sondern in einer großen Schleife westwärts nach Khiwa in Usbekistan und dann auf einer ganz anderen Route durch China und Tibet wieder nach Hause. Eine andere Strecke — ein noch größeres Abenteuer.
